The name "Pa Lau Waterfall" is derived from the word "La-U" in the Karen language, which means "bamboo" because the area of this waterfall is full of bamboo.Pa La-U Waterfall is located in Kaeng Krachan National Park on an area of approximately 437,000,000 square meters with abundant nature and wildlife. The wild animals that are easily seen include gibbons, elephants, hedgehogs, and rare birds such as the red-headed trogons, green-billed malkohas, great slaty woodpeckers, rusty-breasted Cuckoos, etc. It is considered as another suitable place for bird watching. The waterfall has a total of 15 cascades with individual different beauty. Climbing up to higher level is more difficult, respectively.
